Your template date will be set within a few business days of signing your contract, and will typically be within a couple of weeks. You’ll need to make selections, and share information for your sink and faucet prior to the date of your template. On the day of template, please clear existing countertops prior to arrival of the template team. Please also have pets, especially large dogs, confined to another area.
While our team member is actively taking measurements, we ask that you please keep conversation to a minimum. This job requires a lot of concentration and missed measurements or inaccurate notes could result in delays in your project. Please don’t take offense at our focus!
It is not necessary for you to be onsite during the template, if you are comfortable providing us with a way to enter your home in your absence.
Following your template, we’ll assess whether the final measurements match those used for pricing your project, and if necessary, add an addendum to your contract for actual pricing. For any increases in price, we ask that you sign and return the new contract with the addendum. If your price decreases, just e-mail acknowledgement of the new pricing.
Tear-out and Installation
After your template, we will inform you of your tear-out and installation dates. For quartz projects, the production and fabrication timeline varies widely based on the product selected. Your Welling Kitchen, Bath & Floor representative will be in contact with you to inform you of these dates as soon as we know them. A typical laminate tear-out and quartz installation timeline is as follows:
If you choose, Welling Kitchen, Bath & Floor will coordinate the plumber for the necessary dates. If you are getting your faucet, soap dispenser, sink, garbage disposal, etc. from a vendor other than Welling Kitchen, Bath & Floor, you are responsible for having them onsite at the time of install.

Upon completion of your install, your Welling Kitchen, Bath & Floor representative will contact you to confirm that you are happy with the result. After that, you’ll receive your invoice via e-mail or USPS. Your invoice will show a credit from your original deposit, and your final balance.
